They met in 1997 at the California picnic in college while he was at Morehouse and she was at Spelman. Kevin had his roomates red tail boa on his neck and Denice asked to touch it. Kevin proceeded to tell her that he is mean and he might bite. Denice touched the snake anyway and nothing happened.
One week later while on a visit to the Medical College of Georgia, Kevin was on the bus with Denice. He remembered her from somewhere but didn't know her name. They hung out the entire day. She held his hand in the gross anatomy lab and sat by him on the chartered bus back to Atlanta. When they got back Kevin used a corny line and said "I know this is not the last time I am gonna see you..." and it worked. The rest is history.
Denice and Kevin will be married in Jamaica, West Indies. They want all their friends and family to be a part of this maganificent occasion!
