As many of you know, we met when I was 15 and Brad was 17 through a mutual friend. She got us together on a blind date and the rest is six years of wonderful history. In April 2006 we became engaged and throughout the last 12 months we have gone through a lot together. I moved back from Columbia in January and will finish school next fall at UMSL. Currently I am a Financial Sales Rep. for Regions Bank. Brad is still in Columbia by himself finishing school at Mizzou. He is currently looking for a career having to do with his second love, computers.
Once Brad moves back we are going to be buying a house together in the St. Louis area. However we are not completely sure where we want to live, but the historic St. Charles area seems to be calling the loudest. We have a black Lab/Setter mix that we do everything with including taking walks and going to the park all the time. So being close to the Katy Trail and Frontier Park would be ideal.
Our wedding is one that we, as well as everyone else will not be forgotten for a long time to come. The wedding ceremony will be held at the Old Peace Chapel on the Daniel Boone Home Property in Defiance, Missouri. It will begin promptly at 3 p.m. but we are asking all guests to arrive around 2:15 so they will be able to take advantage of the horse drawn carriage rides from the parking lot to the chapel. We are doing a beach themed wedding using the colors of the sand and the water. It will be all done in a traditional way using not so traditional details. Katie’s attendants are my sisters Ashley and Stephanie, Brad’s sister Mindy and my two best friends Anita and Patty. Brad’s attendants are his brothers Greg and Jeff, Katie’s uncle Stan, and his two best friends Jason and Chris.
The reception is immediately following at the Missouri Bluffs Golf Course in St. Charles, MO which is located in the Missouri Research Park at highways 40 & 94. The appetizers will be served on the veranda while our wedding parties are getting their pictures taken. The bar will open at 5 pm and dinner will be served at 6 pm with dancing to begin directly after dinner. The entire reception will commence at 5 pm and end around 10 pm. This will be an adult reception.
With the help of our amazing travel agent, Kyle Byers, we have booked a fabulous honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico. We will be staying at the Riu Palace Las Americas which is a gorgeous ***** all-inclusive ocean front suite that we will have a great time at. We are leaving July 2nd and will be staying for 5 days and 4 nights. Our layover on the way home is in Atlanta, GA so we are going to stay for a couple of days and go sightseeing before going back to reality ! We cannot wait to go on our honeymoon because we love spending time together. We are truly eachother's best friends and have so much fun by ourselves. I am so lucky to have him and looking forward to spending the rest of my life with him....
