We met in Atlanta on January 17, 2003, at a National JCI Senate Board meeting. It was a last minute decision to go for Debby. It was a miracle Ron made it since he and Mike Barnett were "low level flying" down I-85!! Friday evening, Debby was perusing the products table when Ron came up and gave her a classic pick up line. "Which color shirt looks best on me?" We started getting to know each other and had a great weekend together. Ron returned to South Carolina, and Debby back to Florida. Ron called Deb a few days later, thus beginning a long distance courtship, putting many miles on both our vehicles. Jan. '03, Ron moved to Florida permanently. Somewhere in there, we fell in love, culminating in our marriage.

We are getting married under the gazebo next to Lake Apopka in Winter Garden. There is ample parking, and there are restrooms in the small building in the parking lot. Dress comfortably. The wedding party will be small with Lawana Perry as the matron of honor, Mike Barnett as the best man, Dalton Perry as the junior groomsman, & four flower girls. Ashley Fenner, Delainee Perry, Elizabeth Payton, & Abby Boling will look great in their wedding attire, & we believe they will steal the "show!" There will be many family members from both sides, including Ron's Mother, Catherine, & Debby's Godmother, Joanne, & her Godfather, Ched. Be sure to get a glass of lemonade & your fan from Ashley or Jennifer, the bridal assistants. Our ushers, Chris & David, are available if you need any help!!

Just a short walk up the sidewalk will take you to Tanner Hall where we will be set up to celebrate! Rob, the DJ, is a dear friend and will be prepared to have lots of great dance music, so bring your dancing shoes! I know he will attempt to accommodate any requests you might have for music. Chef John will be serving a nice assortment of heavy hors douerves. Jennifer will be taking care of your beverage requests (beer, wine, soda, water, coffee) so please take care of her. Be sure you check out our wedding cake; we guarantee you won't have seen anything like it!! Another close friend, Paula, is a great baker and is responsible for the wonderful sweet treat! Be sure to stop by our Wishes Tree, and share your thoughts with us. Rain back up plan: Wedding will be inside Tanner Hall.

We are SO looking forward to sharing this day with all of you! Thank you for being a part of our lives - family and friends are very important to both of us and we look forward to getting to know both sides of the family better. We are all one big family and we are going to have lots of fun celebrating with you! We love you and thank you for who you are to us!!! For the Cockman side of the family, we WILL be in Sherrill's Ford on the 16th!! For Debby's side of the family, we WILL be in California to help celebrate Miles graduation from High School!! We just don't have all the details worked out yet. No, we're not jet-setters!! Just trying to stay in both families good graces!! God bless each and every one of you!
