Joel and Steffani met at Atholton High School in Columbia, MD. They were just friends and would speak mostly in passing for the most part. While in the midst of attending different colleges, Joel decided to contact Steffani and they began to build a friendly relationship. As they became comfortable with each other Joel revealed to Steffani that he had a secret crush on her in highschool. They began talking more extensively, and they began to fall for each other, but Joel being a newly free college man decided that he was not ready to be tied down, and wasn't ready for something serious. After years of dating other people and other obsacles, they gave it another shot. Again they dated and soon realized that it was special. On Easter of 2007 Joel proposed to Steffani and she said yes!

Steffani and I would just like to thank everyone that has been apart of our lives, that has support us through our relationship, and that have been instrumental in our growth. We are overcome with joy that we have come this point in our lives where we can truly say that we have found that kind of love and companionship that Adam recieved when God made Eve just for him. We look forward to our special day when we are no longer two individuals and become one, and sharing it with the ones whom we love and care about.
