We met about two and a half years ago through Elysia, my (Peter's) cousin and Karis' best friend. Nothing came of it. We didn't see each other again until Amy's wedding a month later, and we can both even vaguely remember hanging out together. Like a true idiot, I chose to not ask Karis for her phone number (I mostly blame the hangover). We did not see each other for a couple months after that, when Karis came out to Fallon for a New Year's Eve bounce-house party. Since I was stationed in Fallon at the time, she gave me a call to invite me. I must have listened to her voice mail six times in a row and when I think about it to this day I still get a grin ear to ear. We ended up meeting that night and have seemed to be inseparable (well, as inseparable as two people can be who don't live near each other can be). I was re-stationed to San Diego in October of 2007, and promptly (and Oh-so secretively) bought Karis a ring. On New Year's Eve of 2007, I proposed to Karis, and (after twenty minutes of shock and digestion) she said YES!
Our wedding will be in a beautiful church in Reno. It's the South Reno Baptist Church. It will be starting at 6:00 pm. The attire is formal. Not ball gown dresses, but nice. No shorts or jean please. Guys if you could wear some slacks, a button up shirt, and a tie. The females, please where a nice skirt and shirt, a dress, or nice slacks with a dress shirt.
Our reception will begin at approximately 7pm (but, then again, it's us, so we will probably be late!) at the Larkins residence of 1040 Country Estates Circle Reno, NV 89511. We will not be serving dinner, so you may want to grab something before hand. Be sure to wear your dancing shoes and drinking hats, and we expect to carry on late into the night!
We will be leaving for beautiful Barbados on Tuesday, September 2nd. Unfortunately we won't be getting to our destination untill Wednesday the 3rd. But we will enjoy as much of Barbados as we can. Since we'll be there untill the next Thursday, September 11th. Great day to fly on!
