Chris put his boss up to calling the house to fake congratulating him on a raise so we would have an excuse to go out for dinner. That evening he took me to Timpano’s to 'celebrate' this fake raise. We get there and our table is out on the patio overlooking the lake, underneath the stars and moon. Our table has candles and rose petals on it. I should note that Chris has put roses on our table before and I thought he was just trying to cheer me up, since I was unemployed. Anyways, we ate our dinner and Chris seemed nervous and so did the waiter, but whatever, I was enjoying my flatbread, filet mignon and roasted herb potatoes. So, its dessert time and the waiter brings out the tray to show us and Chris asks if they have the sampler platter dessert tray, and the waiter says yes. So he brings out a big platter with a pineapple in the middle. Side note: Pineapple was our keyword for “I really really like you” when we were first dating. I saw the pineapple and was all excited, all of the sudden Chris takes the top off of the pineapple and there was a ring box inside, he takes it out, gets down on his knee and proposes.

It was perfect! The management brought us out champagne and all. They even did not sit anyone else on the patio, so it was just us all night!
